Omaggio a Palladio

Haydn, Mozart e Brahms sono i tre autori scelti da Sir András Schiff per festeggiare i 25 anni del suo festival Omaggio a Palladio.
La rassegna si apre con un recital pianistico il cui programma sarà svelato dal maestro Schiff durante il concerto. Quel che è certo è che la serata sarà dedicata a gioielli per pianoforte solo di Haydn e Mozart.
La consueta parentesi di musica sacra alla Basilica dei Santi Felice e Fortunato presenta il maestoso oratorio “La Creazione” di Haydn.
Il Divertimento in Re maggiore apre il programma della terza serata, che è tutta un omaggio a Mozart. Completano l’impaginato due gemme amatissime del pubblico: la Sinfonia “Linzer” e il Concerto per pianoforte n. 17 in Sol maggiore.
Domenica, infine, tre diverse facce di Brahms per mettere in luce la versatilità del suo genio: i lieder tratti da testi della Bibbia, il pregevole Quintetto op. 111 e, gran finale, la Quarta Sinfonia con Sir András Schiff sul podio della sua Cappella Andrea Barca.

The festival opens with a piano recital whereby the program will be revealed by the maestro Schiff during the concert; we only know that the evening will be dedicated to the masterpieces for piano only of Haydn and Mozart.
The usual parenthesis to the Basilica of San Felice about the religious music plans the performance of the holy oratorio “The creation” of Haydn.
The Divertimento in Re maggiore opens the program of the third evening that focuses on Mozart.
To complete the program two beloved pages from the public: the “Linzer” symphony and the Concert for piano.
Last but not least, on Sunday 3rd, different Haydn’s faces will highlight the versatility of his genius: one lieder, the prestigious Quintetto op. 111 and as a great final the 4th Symphony with Sir András Schiff in the podium of his Cappella Andrea Barca.
